A guide to the festival

The guide helps you explore wines, find tables and plan your visit. This staging version includes synthetic demonstration content and test voting. It is not a confirmed festival catalogue, ticket, reservation or proof of admission.

Age and responsible use

The festival is 19+. Follow the venue’s identification, admission and alcohol-service rules. Using this guide or signing in does not verify your age or grant admission. Read our responsible-tasting information.

Availability, accuracy and offline copies

Wines, vintages, prices, table placements and schedules may change. Confirm important details with festival staff, the exhibitor or ticket seller. Offline downloads cannot receive corrections until you reconnect and refresh. Access can be interrupted, and browser settings or cleared storage can remove your saved wines.

Tickets, purchases and refunds

The guide links to external ticket sellers and retailers; it does not take payment or process refunds. Review the seller’s price, fees, admission and cancellation terms before purchasing. See the festival’s published refund policy and the terms attached to your ticket. Contact the seller or organizer about your order.

Wine descriptions and third-party content

Tasting notes, recommendations, dietary descriptions and awards are informational. They are not medical advice or a guarantee of ingredients, allergen safety or suitability. Check the label and ask the producer or exhibitor before tasting if ingredients matter to you. Sponsor and exhibitor listings identify participating businesses; an external link does not guarantee their products or services.

Sponsorship and commercial links

Sponsor placements identify businesses supporting the festival. Paid placements should be identified where they appear and kept distinct from independent tasting recommendations. Ticket and retailer links take you to another business, whose policies apply there. This follows the transparency approach described in Eat Drink Halifax’s advertising disclosure.

Accounts and test voting

Protect your account and sign-in codes. Do not impersonate another person, automate votes, interfere with other visitors or bypass access controls. Test contests require a verified sign-in and an online server confirmation. The contest screen shows the available choices and closing time; test results do not confer an official award.

Content and permitted use

You may use the guide and its download features for your own festival planning. Festival, producer and sponsor names, logos, photographs and descriptions belong to their respective rights holders. Their appearance in the guide does not grant permission to republish them or imply an endorsement.

Your rights and privacy

Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. How the guide handles information is explained in the privacy notice. Changes to these terms will be dated on this page.
