We want the guide to be usable by as many visitors as possible. It includes keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, a skip-to-content link, labelled controls and text alternatives for guide images. Accessibility testing and improvements are ongoing; this is not a claim of full conformance to an accessibility standard.

Help using the guide

You can browse without an account and use your browser’s zoom and text-size controls. If a feature is difficult to use, email eatdrinkhalifax@gmail.com with the page, device/browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the format or assistance you need. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis.

Our approach is consistent with the ongoing improvements described in Eat Drink Halifax’s accessibility statement.

Venue access and accommodations

The festival website describes wheelchair access, accessible washrooms, elevators and barrier-free entrances at the Halifax Convention Centre.

Contact the festival before your visit to discuss venue access, seating, support-person arrangements or other accommodations. Ask the organizer to confirm what is available for your session. The web guide does not verify physical venue accessibility, and third-party ticket and retailer websites have their own accessibility arrangements.

Connectivity and alternatives

Download the guide while connected for offline browsing. Images and external links may still require internet access, and offline information can become outdated. Festival staff can help confirm table locations and current session details at the event.
